Fins2_cropThe patented, non-metal FinCap hugs a variety of mounting structures from 3/8” (10mm) to 5/8” (16mm) making it the most versatile screed support available. They won’t bounce off the mounting structure plus they are virtually indestructible and will not break, snap or crush under your screed during placement.

 

1.5″ ID PIPE SCREED PIPE

Pipe Size

The MAKO Driver and FinCap is designed for a 1.5″ ID (40 mm) galvanized pipe – schedule 40 or higher (1.5″ID/1.9″OD). Other size screed pipes may be used (i.e., 1.25″ ID or 2″ID) however an adjustment needs to be made for the height difference when using the Driver. We recommend testing the conditions when using a 1.25″ to 2″ pipe.

ShortfinMakoSharkThe FinStand assembly (FinCap, nylon all-thread, FinStand and Base Plate 4.5 can hold a load of up to 750 lbs. (340 kgs) If a steel all-thread is used the load increases to nearly 1,000 lbs. (453 kgs). That’s about the same as a large MAKO shark.

SPACING

Space screed supports every 3 to 4 feet (1m). Spacing will be dependent on the length of screed rail and sub-grade.FC supports

VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT

Setup XX2

The FinStand provides 1-3/4″ (45mm) vertical adjustment when using the all-thread with a nut and washer.

Slab Depth chart

 

 

 

 

 

Use the SLAB DEPTH CHART to determine the correct all-thread length for the desired slab thickness. For slabs greater than 6″ thick, use a steel all-thread for more stability.
